Appearance
Bella is Latin for “beautiful,” and Uberrime’s creation of the same name is definitely a beauty. I’ve been a big fan of this indie company for a while now and they’re known for some pretty cool dildo models, including some that are out of this world. Their Bella is an 8” realistic model that is available in not one or even two densities, but THREE!
Bella is a pretty decently sized toy that’s perfect for someone who has experience with penetration and who may be looking to go up to a thicker toy. It’s 8” long with a shaft diameter of 1.7”, which is slightly above the industry standard. However, the thick head and noticeable foreskin texture brings that diameter up to 1.83” and 1.97” at the widest point in the head.
The foreskin doesn’t move and it’s pulled back on this model but it does add just a little thickness under the pronounced ridge of the toy’s head. In addition, the shaft has some very light veining texture to it. Everything about Bella screams “realistic,” so if you’re looking for something to simulate a real penis, especially for strap-on sex, this is a great option!
Care & Cleaning
Like most squishy silicone toys, the Bella does attract some dust in storage. I recommend giving it a rinse off before using or storing it in a plastic bag, free from dust or pet hair. Cleanup after using Bella really just consists of a hand-wash with antibacterial soap and warm water unless you’re going from anal to vaginal use or sharing between partners. In this case, Bella can be sanitized between uses by boiling for five minutes, soaking in a 10% bleach solution, or putting on the top rack of your dishwasher on the “sanitize” setting.
Because Bella is made of silicone, you should avoid silicone lube. I recommend Sliquid’s H2O or Sea formula for vaginal use or the Sassy for anal use.
Density
I’m a huge fan of dual-density toys. Dual-density silicone provides a super realistic feel due to a firm inner core being surrounded by a softer silicone to simulate the feel of real skin without losing the firmness that makes penetration so easy. While Bella is available in a single density, the true beauty is in the dual and triple density versions of this toy.
My dual-density Bella is in the seafoam green available on SheVibe’s website, which is such a lovely color that sticks out in my sex toy collection. The dual has a firm core with a softer outer layer of silicone. Bella’s exaggerated head is super squishy and has a lot of give so if the diameter of the head is a little more than what you’re used to, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to manage it just fine. I’m not a size queen and this was no problem for me!
The thing that got me really excited about Bella was the triple density option. This option is only available on Uberrime’s website but it’s the first time I’ve ever heard of a triple density option for a dildo. This version has a firm inner core, a gooey, pliable middle layer, and soft but stable outer layer. It felt really cool in my hands and I loved squishing the middle layer around, but how would it feel internally?
Conclusion
So, I put in my time with both of these models before making my decision on which I liked best because I was incredibly excited about the triple density silicone, but I wasn’t sure how it would compare to the arguably firmer dual density. Being a fan of firmer toys normally, I was curious about how it would pan out.
Turns out, I did prefer the firmer dual density over the triple because a) it’s easier for me to insert and b) it stimulated my g-spot more. If you’re a fan of plush toys, the triple density is a decadent treat you should absolutely try. If you don’t need a solid toy for penetration and don’t necessarily crave that firmness that gives you more girth to work with, I recommend the triple Bella. However, if you prefer firmer toys at all, the added layer probably isn’t worth the extra investment and the dual density is more than enough.
